THE THUNDER

We had the privelage to enjoy a couple of Thunder games last season. One night Noah and I had a date night to the game. The entire was able to go to a game for cousin Karon's birthday. Reid and Noah are both big KD fans. I think he's a great guy too. So thankful that the Thunder has him on their team. What a great rold model for the kids. I just hope he continues to stay out of trouble.

Nana's Birthday Surprise

On Nana's birthday the boys and I snuck into her house while she was still at work and decorated her kitchen with balloons and streamers. The boys had a ball setting a trap for her with streamers. Nana was quite surprised and knew exactly who the culprits were. ;) It's always the "SMITH BOYS" who cause the trouble.

Christmas Eve Cookies

Another fun Christmas at the Smith house. Our Christmas Eve tradition is to go to church and then come home and decorate sugar cookies. The boys always have a blast making a mess and decortagin the icing and sprinkles! Christmas morning was fun as always. The boys were excited about their gifts from Santa..a big remote control hummer for Noah and a leapster for Reid. Mom..on the other hand an..iphone..of course, Noah took credit for that gift. He picked it out..yep, I'm sure he did! ;)Sadly, I just realized that not many of our other pictures turned out very well from Christmas morning.

Christmas Blizzard 2009

We loooooved the Christmas 2009 blizzard.  Luckily we had already traveled to Texas to celebrate with Rod's family.  We just had to travel across town to mom and dad's so the deep snow was a real treat for us.  Sorry for those of you that had to "trek" across the state...ugh!  On Christmas Eve we loaded up around 11:00 and headed to see The Squequel at Quail Springs Mall.  As I recall, it wasn't doing anything when we were on our way.  By the time the movie was over there was a blanket of snow over the parking lot and there were drifts 3" deep on the hood of cars in the parking lot including ours!  The boys were "awe" of the snow and we were all amazed at how pretty it was as it was coming down.  The most exciting part of the day was on our way home...we slowly drove home. The trip that usually takes 7 mins. took about 20 mins.  We had our second spotting of the WHITE DEER that lives (we hope she still lives) near portland and 150th.  It was awesome to see the white deer in the white snow.  Wish we could have snapped a quick pic!  Here are a few pictures of the fun we had in the snow.

New Beginnings

Now is the time....the time for new beginnings.  A time for lots of changes at the Smith house.  Noah's gone to school and Reid's starting preschool and mom is starting to blog again!  I love to read other people's blogs and I have been thinking for a while that I need to start blogging again. The time is now..I'm going to try to keep up this time.  I really want to share with everyone what goes on in the life of the Smiths.  It's always fun around here and the boys are always into something new and exciting. I'm going to go back several months and post pictures of all the fun stuff we've done since January (oh man, that's sad that I'm so far behind!)  Let's do this.

The Blog Train

I've had several friends that have started blogs and it has motivated me to get back on the "blog train". It's such a shame that I'm so behind on postings. It has probably been 6 months since I logged in to add any pics. Pretty rediculous, I'd say! I do have some great pictures from SUMMER (yes, SUMMER..that was sooooo long ago!) that I'd like to share. I also have a few Falls pics and then Christmas/Blizzard of 2009 pics. Hope I still have a few blog followers. Thanks for not giving up on me.
