Becoming a Man of God

Rod has decided to start commemorating the boys on their journey of becoming a man of God.  He had a plaque made for Noah that said "To commemorate beginning the journey on becoming a man of God.  Rejecting passivity.  Accepting respnsibility. Leading courageously. Psalm 119:9.  Since Noah was getting ready to start Kindergarten, Rod thought this would be a good time for his first "big boy" ceremony.  He woke him up early on a Saturday morning and took him to a pond to go fishing.  He then presented him with his plaque.  I think it's so awesome and I'm so thankful that the Lord blessed me with a husband that wants nothing more than for his boys to "love the Lord and His word".  I am so proud of Noah for becoming a man of God and I'm proud of Rod for encouraging him in his journey.

That is so awesome! You guys are amazing parents! I'm going to have to remember this for when Russell is a little older. Thanks so much for sharing!

Wow. I have read through so many of your recent posts, but this one by far is my fave! I love the special relationship a Godly father has with his sons. It makes me smile to know they will become Godly men themselves one day. What a legacy!!! Awesome stuff, Amber!
